Who I Work With

Critical Incidents

Critical Incidents are traumatic, disturbing events involving the loss of health or life which significantly affect everyday well-being and/or the ability to work.

20+ years experience

For over twenty years, I have served workers in a wide range of incidents, including murder, armed felony, sudden death, suicide, medical fatality, terrorism, industrial accidents, natural disasters and psychiatric emergencies. I usually provide services within 72 hours after the incident occurs.

Trauma-informed

Working with people who have recently experienced significant loss in from everyday life events has taught me a lot. Yet  I continually learn about the nature of trauma and its effects. My Critical Incident practice has been instrumental to my understanding, and ability to help people, including on a single intervention basis.

Serving workers

I have directly served many organizations coping with recent tragic and traumatic loss. My onsite approach has helped people and managers develop positive short and long-term outcomes that value everyone at work. I offer consultation to create critical incident response programs that actively address effects on workers’ mental health.

Specific training

Core training received from the Justice Institute of British Columbia and the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation.
