Most health insurance carriers have reduced or suspended “cost sharing” with their subscribers for an extended period. This could well save you money.
“Cost share” means co-payments (“co-pays”), which are fixed amounts that subscribers pay per appointment. It also includes “co-insurance” payments, which is a percentage of the fee paid to the provider by the carrier.
